The Gorges are impressive and well worth a visit. The river Verdon is turquoise and it is possible to hire a pedalo or canoe and explore the Gorges from the river... don't forget to take your camera as the views are amazing. Thr road goes all the way around the Gorges with stopping points to take great photos of the canyons with the possibility of seeing vultures and eagles soaring below you.
